Yuhki Touyama’s “Sasurai” (“Wanderer”) is the story of a photographer who, fed up with life in Tokyo, decided to move to Kyoto to take photographs. She went to Kyoto as if to free herself of something. She meets and spends time with people sharing her age, in a city she does not know and where she does not know herself. Each further page adds to the insidious atmosphere of the book, as we follow Touyama on her journey as a vagrant photographer.
