Photographed in Wroclaw in Poland and in Tokyo, it is the theme of light that connects the photographs in Keiko Nomura’s “Melody of Light.” Through intimate portraits that reach much deeper than the skin, shots taken in nature and in urban settings, and the delicate play with religious and other motifs, Nomura engages with a host of tangible and intangible questions. What is the nature of identity and of our bodies; what is the importance of place and nature, and to which extent is the physical entangled with the metaphysical?
