Hiroshi Shiohara’s photobook “Kitto zenbu daijobu ni naru” (“Everything will be alright”) focuses on Japanese nude model Manami Usamaru. Through portraits, close-ups, artful nudes and (seemingly) unposed snapshots, Shiohara paints an idealised but believable image of Usamaru as a strong-willed, naive girl’s daily life, allowing himself the freedom to delve into the fantastical for brief moments.
The book concludes with an essay by Manami Usamaru (in Japanese).
