Blocks
Imagine a house without windows.
No light, no wind,
And no view.
Blocks is a collection of poster-style photographs by Chanmin Park. Park’s work involves studying Korean apartments and Scottish public housing, and deliberately erasing the windows of Scottish houses he has taken pictures of. Through ‘windowless houses’, the artist criticizes the block-like uniformity and blocked-off nature of modern housing. This title contains 26 photographs from his series, Blocks and the booklet “A Photographic Study of 21st Century Housing and Cities” by art critic, Shin Hye-young.
