Teppei SAKO
迫鉄平
Born 1988, Osaka. Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Faculty of Art. In video works that apply the technique of snap photography to capture moments, and in a series of snapshots that fold multiple moments into a single photograph, he attempts to liberate the subject and viewer from the ‘decisive moment’. His video works, which look as if they are snapshots of ordinary scenes stretched out in time, won the Grand Prix of the ‘Canon New Cosmos of Photography’ in 2015. Recent major solo exhibitions include CHILL TOWN (VOU, Kyoto, 2017), FLIM (Sprout Curation, Tokyo, 2018) and All Along The Watchtower (YEBISU ART LABO, Aichi, 2019). He also works as the artist unit THE COPY TRAVELERS with Shunsuke Kano and Ryo Ueda.
