Born in 1940 in Tochigi prefecture. Lives and works in Yokohama city.
Graduated in 1978 from Nihon Shashin Eizo Gakuin.
After graduating she began her photographic career as a freelance photographer. She then began a mentorship under the photographer Takashi Hamaguchi.
She has continuously entered the photography competition NIkka Kai and the Japan Professional Photographers Society amongst others.
She is also a photography instructor for amateur photographers in Yokohama city and established the amateur photographic club Tampopo Shayu Kai in 1995, creating a platform to support emerging and amateur photographers.
