The Back Yard
THE BACKYARD is an experimental laboratory for the production of photographic works by photographer Kosuke Okahara. In addition to the production of artworks and art books, we also design darkrooms and produce large-format enlargers. As a social contribution activity, we have held the "PITCH GRANT" program three times from 2020 to 2023 to subsidize projects for artists under 35 years old.
We also provide services such as photo shoots and media direction for various campaigns and events, utilizing our experience in photographic artwork production and art book design and production. Our strength lies in the relationships we have developed over the past 20 years with photographers and designers in Japan and abroad.
