IG Photo Gallery is located in Higashi-ginza, behind the Kabuki-za Theater. It was formerly known as Kobikicho. There are many well-known photo galleries in this neighborhood.
Although we do not intend to compete with such prestigious galleries, we have created this gallery with the idea that it would be nice to have at least one modest gallery that is like a hideout. With photography critic Kenji Takazawa as director, the gallery provides a venue for exhibitions by artists who produce fresh and appealing work appropriate for the modern age, as well as for aspiring photographers who are interested in holding their first solo exhibition.
So far, we have held exhibitions by Kimihiko Katsumata, Wataru Yamamoto, Kenji Takazawa, Shuhei Kaihara, Takashi Suzuki, Osamu Kanamura, Hiroko Komatsu, Riki Kaihara, Hiko Watanabe, and others.
We will continue to strive to exhibit small but high quality works and hold events such as workshops and photo salons.
