Dashwood Books
Opened in September 2005, Dashwood Books is New York City’s only independent bookstore devoted entirely to photography. Located at 33 Bond Street (between Bowery and Lafayette Street in NoHo) Dashwood has become a Mecca for artists, collectors and art directors as well as a valued source for fashion, advertising, film and anybody interested in photography and design.
Their main specialty is in contemporary photography; importing books that have no or very limited distribution in the United States including limited press runs from Japan, Germany and The Netherlands; artists self-published books, signed books and a carefully curated selection of collectible post-war titles. We build collections for museums, educational institutions and many of our regular customers.
