Colpa Press
Colpa Press is the publishing practice and imprint of Luca Antonucci. Based in San Francisco, Colpa produces limited editions with local artists and archival projects focused on local history and cultural ephemera.
Founded in 2010 by Carissa Potter and Luca Antonucci, with great assistance from Hailey Loman, Colpa started out printing for artists and producing hand-made editions. From 2012 to 2013, we had a newsstand on the corner of 6th and Market St in San Francisco that sold zines and prints called Edicola.
From 2014 to September of 2022, Colpa was the design practice, print studio and collaborative publishing project of David Kasprzak and Luca Antonucci. During this time, we published dozens of books together, while designing and printing for artists, galleries and institutions here in the Bay Area and beyond. In 2016, we co-founded the San Francisco Art Book Fair, which has grown to host over 120 exhibitors from around the world and welcome approximately 15,000 guests every July. From March of 2018 to September of 2019, we had a small bookstore in SF’s Chinatown called Colpa Books & Video, specializing in new used art books.
