Tokio MATSUBARA
松原時夫
Born in Wakaura, Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture in 1940, he picked up a camera at the age of 11 and has been photographing the seaside town where he was born and raised ever since. Graduated from the Nippon Photography College (now the Nippon Professional School of Photography and Imaging Arts). After graduation, he worked as a teacher at the school, and from the age of 27, he ran a photo store in his birthplace in Wakaura.
