Born in Tokyo in 1978. Filmmaker. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Film and New Media, he moved to the U.K., where he worked as a colorist for many theatrical films, commercials, and music videos in Japan. He shoots natural phenomena and landscapes in film and video formats, and manipulates them in various ways during the editing stage. He has received numerous awards at international film festivals, including the Tiger Award for Best Short Film at the 2012 International Film Festival Rotterdam. In recent years, in addition to screenings, he has also been producing and presenting cross-disciplinary works, such as installations and screenings combined with live performances.
