Stanley FUNG

Born in Hong Kong in 1961 with ancestry from Heshan, Guangdong. Following his pastor father’s commissioning by the church, his whole family relocated to Taiwan to initiate the work of a new church in 1964. Underwent confirmation as a disciple of Christ in 1974. Entered Xiehe High School of Industry and Commerce studying fine arts in 1979. Pursued a career in fine arts, design and advertisement between the age of 18 and 35. Awarded with a master’s degree from Taiwan Theological College and Seminary in 2003. Ordained as a pastor in the Chinese Rhenish Church, Taiwan in 2008 .
Besides his occupation as a pastor, the author is a photographer and painter. In addition to the portrait work “Dust Icon”, he has other series: “The Word in All Thing (Still-Life)” “Members for One Another” “Mere Straw” “Cursive” “The Word in Forgotten Surfaces” “Bone of Bones” “ A Spectacle” and so on.
His work has been exhibited all over the world including: several cities in Taiwan, Paris, New York, Boston, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, London and more. It has been recognized by several photography awards and has been collected by both museums and private collectors.
